Mayor Porter suggests we pass resolution that we support the hospital
bond urging people to vote in bond election. We will help raise the ~,"}
necessary funds. Councilman Barton Jensen so moved. Councilman Nile
Boyle seconded.

RE: ORDINANCE 565
City Attorney, Mary Smith read ordinance 565.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPHS A, B, AND C OF SECTION I, ORDINANCE
N0. 530, PROVIDING THAT PERMITS REQUIRED FOR EXCAVATION BE ISSUED BY
____ THE CITY CLERK AhJD FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE POSTING OF BONDS PRIOR
TO THE ISSUANCE OF SAID PERMITS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF ANY CITY STREET,
ALLEY OR EASEMENT AFTER EXCAVATION OF THE SAME, AND PROVIDING WHEN
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Barton Jensen and seconded by
Councilman Marren Porter that the rule requiring ordinances of a general
and permanent nature to be read fully and distinctly on three different
days be dispensed with and that said ordinance be numbered 565 and be
passed and adopted as read.
Thereupon the Clerk was ordered to call the roll on said motion and the
roll call upon said motion was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared that the motion, having been passed by not
:less than three-fourths of the Council, had been duly carried, and the
l___ Ordinance No. 565 was duly passed and adopted.
The City Clerk was directed to publish said Ordinance No. 565 in at
least one issue of the Rexburg Standard or Journal, a Newspaper
published in the City of Rexburg, Idaho.
RE: ORDINANCE 566
City Attorney, Mary Smith read ordinance 566 creating LID 22.
AN ORDINANCE CREATING LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT N0. 22 IN REXBURG,
IDAHO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CAUSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS AND PARTS
THEREOF WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY, TO BE GRADED, RE-GRADED,
GRAVELED, PAVED, REPAVED AND OTHERWISE IMPROVE THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED
STREETS WITHIN THE DISTRICT AND TO CONSTRUCT AND RECONSTRUCT CURBS,
GUTTERS, MAINS AND SEWER SERVICES, DRAINAGE FACILITIES, WATER MAINS,
WATER SERVICES, SEWER, INCLUDING STROM SEWERS, AND OTHER WORK INCIDENTAL
TO ALL OF THE FOREGOING IMPROVEMENTS ALONG SA 1'D STREETS, PROVIDING FOR
THE LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE PROPERTY TO BE BENEFITED BY SUCH
IMPROVEMENTS: STATING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID DISTRICT: PROVIDING FOR
THE LEVY OF ASSESSMENTS UPON THE PROPERTY TO BE BENEFITED BY SUCH
IMPROVEMENTS: STATING THE BOUNDARIES OF SAID DISTRICT: PROVIDING FOR
THE PREPARATION OF AN ASSESSMENT ROLL: REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Barton Jensen and seconded by
Councilman Warren Porter that the rule requiring ordinances of a
general and permanent nature to be read fully and distinctly on three
different days be dispensed with and that said ordinance be numbered
566 and be passed and adopted as read.
