COUIJCIL OF THE CITY OF REXDURG HELD
MARCH 22, 1974, at 7:30 O'CLOCK P. M. AT
THE CITY HALL
Present: Mayor John C. Porter
Councilmen: Glenn Petersen

In the excused absence of the City Clerl<, Afton Anderson, the Mayor
asked the City Attorney, Mary Smith, to take the minutes.
E: RESOLUTION FROM CITY TO FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION PRESENTED
the Mayor presented a proposed resolution from the City to sent 10
the Federal Cornrnunications Commission to give relief to the citizens of
the Gity of Rexburg by making the non-suplica-hion rules and regulations
affecting the Mountain Time Zone conform to those rules that apply to
the remainder of the United States, and setting forth that the City
is unalterably opposed to the continuance of such discriminaFory rules
and regulations. It was moved by Glenn Petersen and seconded by George
Catmull that such resolution be adopted. On roll call -the following
voted Aye: Glenn Petersen, Morgan Garner, George Catmull, and Nyle
Doyle. The Mayor thereupon declared the resolution carried.
E: CITY INCLUDED AS DEFENANT IN A SUIT BY MARTIN D. HARRIS
The Mayor reported that the City of Rexburg had been included as the
defendant in a suit by Martin D. Harris, et al, claiming damages by
reason of a accident involving the ambulance when Martin D. Flarris was
being transported to an Idaho Falls hospital. The Mayor stared he
would hand the papers to the insurance company.

The Mayor further reported that the City had received a letter from the
United Spates Environmental Protection Agency that the City's application
for reimbursement of -the entitlement of $27,699.00 would be fifhy
percent of -that amount and that payment would be authorized.

AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
REXBURG, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974, AND APPROPRIATING TO THE
SEVERAL DEPARTMENTS, OFFICES AND FUNDS OF THE SAID CITY GOVERNMENT,
FROM THE REVENUE DERIVED FROM TAXES LEVIED FOR SAID YEAR, AND ALL OTHER
COURCES, INCLUDING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING, SUCH SUMS AS MY DE NECESSARY
OR DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL TO DEFRAY THE EXPEPJSES
LIABILITIES OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974.
