E: NEW GARBAGE TRUCK DISCUSSED
Porter discussed the need of new garbage truck.
E: NEW CITY SHOP DISCUSSED
Pieper discussed the size needed for a new city shop and money that
was available for project. The need for truck and blade for winter
months.
;E: DAMS WILL NOT RUN FOR COMING ELECTION
Richard L. Davis announced that he would not be running for any spot
in the forth coming election.
;E: CFIRISTMAS DECORATIONS DISCUSSED
Jensen led discussion of Christmas decorations and need. Small
lights for trees on main street, seemed to meet the approval of
all. Jensen is to get price and idea on wiring for such a project
Also shortage of electricity should be considered. Also Jensen is
to salvage pump and pipe from irrigation system that has been
abandoned.
Porter moved we adjourn at 10:35

MINUtES 0~ THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL
MEETING OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO
Special meei-ing held September 28, 1973, at 6:00 P. M. at City Hall.
Present & presiding Mayor Henry Shirley.
Council present Warren Porter, Barton Jensen, Richard L. Davis, Albers
Pieper, Glenn Peterson and Ruth Smith.
Also present- Ken Newman fiscal agent from Burroughs Smith and Company
of Salt Lal<e City, Utah.
AMOUIJTS THAT COULD AND SHOULD 8E BONDED
Discussion on amounts that could and should be bonded.
Revenue $500,000.00
GOB 500,000.00
Mr. Newman ask that this go on record as being a figure higher
than orginal $400,000.00, for GOB but with rising cos'fs for
construction and materials to complete project, he felt this
amount would be advisable and needed. A water rate increase was
advisable.
RESOLUTION ADOPTING REVENUE 80NDING
Resolution adopting revenue bonding in the amount of $500,000.00
and GOB bonding for $500,00.00. Motioned by Ruth Smith. Seconded
by Barton Jensen.
