's'I. Farrington, seconded by A. L. Klingler, said. minutes vrere unanimously approved. RE: Hileman Stone problem on the sewer at his home: Ilileman Stone came into the meeting to e:culain his problem on file sevrer at his home. He stated about 5 years a-o :when he t,ras building, he inquired vrhtere the sewer line would run. Re was informed he should plan to hook on at the front of his property. Re had done to consider- able expense to put in the pipes and fittings. The sewer '_ine is now going in, in the middle of the block at the back of iris property. He stated he ~,anuld appreciate any consideration the city felt they could give him. He eras instructed to get figures on the added expense he had incurred, because of the chan,ee, aic9 give them to the council for their consideration. RE: Damage suit of Donalri Cameron against the City of Re;cburg: City Attorney i"ia.ry Smith gave a report of the trial o£ the t~95,000.00 damage suit of Donald Cameron against the City of Rexburg, for injuries and other losses sustained in an accident in June ]-95~. The trial eras held in the federal Court at Pocatello and resulted in a directed decision in favor of the City of Rexburg. In appreciation-for iJIss Smith's ePfecient services the follo:ry~ing resolution was passed, by motion made by R.Id.tPurringtoh seconded by G. Alton Anderson and unanimously approved. L. Klingler gave a report on his investigaticn of t:~ansi'crmera for the new pump, He had contacted General Electric Co. and !;iestingnouse C'o. General Electric quoted p 598.00 each, Westinghouse quoted ~iv555.00 each. i~Ir. Iilineler therefore recommended that the City consider the T,~Iestin Rhouse Co. quotation. G. Alton Anderson moved the City purchase three transfor!ners from 'riestinghouse Co. The motion was seconded by Tom Webster and passed unanimously. Mr. IQingler also reported ti~lat the pump was being installed at the new city well. RE: Complaints e.,ainst the Garbage Department: R. W. Purrington reported Jim DeP~lott had called him to complain the water had run into his basement ,pis a result of the trench, which is Leine dug for the scorer line. A. L. Klingler stated in ordar to collect garbage along the street where the wench is the garbage men had driven over aportion o his lawn - cutting into it and had brol;ea limbs from a tree in front of his home. T!iat the City Clerk shall give notice by publication on the official news- paper of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, the Rexburg Standard, published weekly, in at least on issue, a.t least twelve days before he said 7th day of December 1960, tt:at such assess- ment roll is on file in her office, the date of film the same, and siad notice shall state the time at vrilich the council grill hear and consider objections to said assessment roll by the parties aggrieved by such assessments.
