The i~fayor stated we should have sumps at the corner of Third P2est and First North - on Fourth South and Fourth 'lest by Christensen Pontiac and by Jesse 1~lellter's home on South Fifth 'nest Street. A. E. Prchibald moved sumps be put in at above mentioned 1oca.tions. The motion was seconded by Robert lriltson and passed unanimously. Pay- ment to be made io Herdti i;lectric Co Councilman Tom 6debster introduced the follo.~ring resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIO[d RE: RE: RE rrlHFRliAS, the Ctiy Council cf the City of Rexburg, Idaho, has leased to the Rexburg Golf Association certain property at the _"Municipal Airport for the purpose o:"' constructing and. maintaining a golf course, and the term of said lease has expired, and '. ,'H~REAS, said cold course has been constructed and maintained bz~ said associattion at great expense and is a valuable contribution as a recreational. facility to the inhabitants of the Cit,~r of Rexburg as tiae11 as the entire valley, and wHLrRLAS, such property is not needed for municipal purposes and should be set a.pa.rt as a golf lints a.s provided by Section 50-1005, Idaho Code, and irIHF;RLAS, the cost of operating and rnanitaing said golf' course by the City of Rexburg ~h~ould be prohibitive at the present time, and the City Council deems it not advisable £or the city to operate said golf links, and i~:Hld?hAS, the Rexburg- Golf Association has applied to the Niayor and Citr Council for a lease of the sane fora term of ti•renty ;ream at the annual rental of p1,00 a ;rear, ~r:ith option to extend for an additional twent;~„rears. Notice to Claimants on the Burggraf Construction: City Attorney, Mary Smith presented. the notice to claimants on the Burggraf Construction Co. Citv to °urchase an Air Mask and Smoke Ejector for the Fire Department: A motion was made by R. !^!. Purrington, seconded by M. D. Morrell aald unanimously approved that the City purchase an air mask and also a smoke ejector for the fire department. Claims: Claims in the amount of 8G6,53~.62 were presented by 1M. D. 2iorrell who moved same be granted and paid. The motion eras seconded by A. L'. ArePriba.ld and passed.
