AUGUST 25, 194 i
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rexburg, Idaho conveened
at 8 P.s[. this 25th day of August, at the OitV hall. ':`ayor J. S. DeYlott presided at
the meeting and the following councilmen vrere present: Nelson,'' Davis, Sutherland,
I'lamm, Smart, P~igby. City Attorney Smith was also present.
ifinutes of the previous meeting were read and on motion o£ Davis seconded by
Sutherland, same were unanimously approved. ',
Y]r. Ralph Parker met vrith the Council and e~:plained v,=test had been done so £ar, '~
in the planning boards attempt to obtain the remainder of the needed land for the ',
Park on the highway north of the City. He stated. th^t Geo. "tilcling was willing to
trade the land v~isich the Gity vranted for thc- Park for some of the land east of the
highway vrhich belonged to the City, if the City '=would level it and Close a street,

Third North between First and Second East. Suttee;^land stated that if it didnrt cost
too much to have it leveled that he'was in favor of the tr<;de which vaould enable the
planning board to ~n ahead. on the Y'ar{c. After some discussion on the sub,7ect the
;vtayor suggested that they m.,ft out at `the Paris sight the next night and loop over the
two areas in question and:have )3arrick give them a bid on the leveling job to be
done. This vras agreed to and the discussion tabled until next meeting.,.,.
t;r. Parker also stated that L.Y. Rigby had approximately 34 acres of land .which
he vras willing to give to the City. j
