The follovaing resolution was introduced by f;;ayor llei„ott read in full and concid- eyed: Resolution of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, ac:epting,the Grant offer of the United States of America through the Oival Aeronautics Administration of a maximum s.:m of y o,13g•UO to be used in the improvement of the Rexburg Airport, and does hereby sl;eci£ically ratify and adopt all statements, representations, warranties, covenants, and agreements contained in the project application. BE IT R`r;SOLUED by the City Council of the L'it,y of Rexburg, Idaho: Sec. 1. That the City of Rexburg shall accept the !want Offer of the.,United States o£ America £or the purpose of obtaining Federal Aid for the develop;-ant o£ the Rexburg Airport. Sec. 2. That the City Council hereby ratify and apopt all statements, represent- txtions , warranties, covenants and. agreements core ained in the project application. Sec. 3. That the idayor of the City of Rexburg.is hereby authorized and directed ~.., ' to sign the-Grant Qf£er on behalf of the City. of -~e.:burg, and the City Clerk is hereby _ authorized and directed to attast the signature of tP,e i•Layor and. impress the o"ficial ~ seal of the ~i`,y of .iexburg on the aforesaid Grant Offer. Sec. 2. That the City treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to establish' a separate fund, designatadg as The. City Of Rexburg, Civa1 Aeronautics -tdministration Federal Airport Fund, in the first security Sank of ~:exburg, Idaho. >^;. ,: Sec.3. That the amount deposited in the amount of >8,200.00 is to oe used to cover the City share of the construction costs for project No. 9-10-021-702. Sec. !,. This resolution shall take eSfect s:mmediately. After discussion it was moved by Flamm, seconded by Smart and carried that they accept the above resolution. President Clarke met with the Council and stated that Congress had passed a law to give the Veterans housing projects to '_he Schools if the City would vaai¢e the agree went to have them removed one ,year after their usage.. After discussion Sutherland moved t:at they a :cept the follourinp resolution: B1; IT FLSOi;VLD by the City council of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, which has jurisdietion over the area in which project number H.A.V-10135 of i;icks College is located. that the waiver of the removal requirements of section 313 of the Lahan Act( public law 849, loth Congress „as amn!ended` with respect to said project is hereby specifically al-proved in accordance'uaith public law 796, 80th Congress. seconded by Flamm and carried.
