The follovaing resolution was introduced by 2:`.ayor DeTiott read in full and concid- eyed: Resolution of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, accepting the Grant offer of the United States of America through the Oival Aeronautics Administration of a maximum sum of .`;r u,138•UO to be used in the improvea;ent of the Rexburg Airport, and does hereby specifically ratify and adopt all statements, representations, wa!•rantie~, covenents, and agreements contained in the project application. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rexburg, Idaho: Sec. 1. That the City of Rexburg shall accept the ~:~rant Offer of the.,United States of America for the purpose of obtaining Federal Aid for the develop:~ent of the Rexburg Airport. Sec. 2. That the City Council hereby ratify and apopt all statements, represent- warranties, covenents and. agreements contained in tine project application. fitions , See. 3. That the iviayor of the City of Rexburg-is hereby authorized and directed to sign the Grant Offer on bahalf of the City of texburg, and the City Clerk is hereby -authorized and directed to attast the signature of ti_e iviayor and. impress the o"iicial ,_. ~ seal of the ''I `y of aexburg on the aforesaid Grant Offer. Sec. 4. That the treasurer, Jessie Atkinson, is hereby designated. as the o°ficial to receive the funds of the Federal Government in correction vrith the'develol:ment of the t~exburg idunicipal airport. That the City treasurer is hex•eby authorized and directed to establish j a seperate fund, designatidg as The pity Of Rexburg, Civil Aeronautics Administration Federal Airport Fund, in the :First security Bank of Rexburg, Idaho. Sec.3. That the amount deposited inTthe amount of ;>8,200.00 is to be used to cover the City share of the construction costs for project ;do. 9-10-021-702. Sec. !~. This resolution shall take e;'fect immediately. ~ After discussion it was moved by Flamm, seconded by Smart and carried that they accept the above resolution. President Clarke met crith the Council and stated that Congress had passed a law to give the Veterans housing projects to '_ihe Schools if the City would wai¢e the agree ment to have them removed one ,year after their usage.- After discussion Sutherland moved t.at they accept the £ollorring resolution: BE IT R~SOL,VID by the City Council of the Cit, of liexburg, Idaho, which has jurisriietion over the area in ti^rhich project number H.A.V-10135 of hicks Colleire is located that the waiver of the removal requirements of sec'ion 313 of the Lahan Act( public law 849, loth Congress, as amn.~endedl with respect to said project is hereby specifically a: proved in accordance'vaith public law 7)6, 80th Congress. seconded by Flarxst and carried. .
