A letter vvas read from the Bond-Company offering to pay the bond of George E. I,iljenquist,
vii; yp3040.00. Kelley motioned that ~~re accept the 'offer of the Fidelity and Deposit Company,
oi` X3000 which is all the bond calla for® Poole seconded it, and serried unan.
Svioved that we adjourn, carried unan.
RES OT,UT I ON
wHEREA5, An audit if the books and accounts oi' the City of Rexburg made by Van
Deusen, Snell & Co., pursuant to an order of the T~Iayar and City Council, shows a shortage
in the accounts of George L++'. Tailjenquist, City Clerk betvreen the 4th day of May, 1921 and the
4th day of TvIay 1927, in the amount of ~p7511.20; and,
t~7HEREAS, It appears that the maximum which the City can recover an official bond
of said City Clerk is X3000, which will leave a balance still due from said George E,
I,iljenquist of $p4511.20, plus interest.
BE IT RESOhVED By the T~~ayor and City Council of the said City of Rexburg that an

action be instituted in the proper court by the City Attorney on behalf and in the name of the
City of Rexburg for the purpose of recovering from said George E, hiljenquist the aforesaid
amount novr due from him with interest and that said action be instituted forthv°fith.
