The railroad company grill agree to open said cross- ing at any time growth of the City shall demand or upon demand of the Irayor and City Goun- cil. Resolution, granting permission to close said street as requested, tinder the con- ditions as stated, was introduced and read by Peter Taylor who moved the adoption of said Resolution. The motion on the adoption of the resolution was seconded by H. L. Poole and carried. The Resolution was ordered filed. Auplication eras also made by the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company for permis- sion to change the road at the Corner of First North and Second 'nest Streets. 1The Railroad Company were desirous of making the street across part of Lot Two, Block ^ihirty-one at the Storthvrest corner of said Block. Said change to be made to eliminate a dangerous corner and street crossing because of the 'present main line track of railroad almost covering the en- tire street intersection. The present street making necessary the crossing of the track of railroad t+rriee to make turn around the Northvrest Corner of Block Thirty-one. ~.fter a discussion Oswald Christensex< introduced a Resolution granting permissim to the Oregon Short Line Railroad Company to cut off the Idorthvrest corner of Lot Taro, Block Thirty-one, City of Rexburg, and tc grade same for the uurpose of diverting the traffic around said corner through the corner of said Lot, thus avoiding the crossing and re cross- ing of railroad tracks; said new street to be graded on a level with other streets, said grading and levelling, culvert requirements etc to be done by the Railroad Company.
