A quorum appearing to be present file :neeting 'real called to order by the 't,~iayc~r and the Clerk was instructed to call the ro1:L. Upon roll call the following were found to be present: i'I:a;ioT: John L. Ball_if Tr, Cler_;-Geo. D. ~11;enQUiSt, Atty ?~. T. Perry. Councilmen: R. G. Archibald, Chas Zollinger, James ?. ?:Vright, F.. L. Walker, G . G . ~spe and D. ?V. Stowell . T'he Cleric then read the resignation of Ray D. Garner as Cleric, and upon motion of James R. The Clerk read a letter from Keeler Brothers of Denver, vrherein the;r offer to handle thc. legal proceedings on the Re-Assessment on Sevaer District 1'?0 1, for •~' 20(:.00 On motion of R. G. Archibald, seconded by ~. L. ':'ialker, and carried the natter was r::ferred to the Finance Committee, dames R. '1'right,for tree Finance ^o:=,.m,ittee, .reed:~miended that the salary of the City Cleric be fixed at ~~" IS 00.00 per annum for the .next term. 's:4otion by Chas Zollinger, seconded by R. G. Arcili'oald, that the recozmendation of the Finance Colr~mittee be adopted. notion carried. Thereupon Atty L. 1'. Perry read proposed Ordinance No. 267 entitled " AN OF.DIi? Wright moved that that part of the compiled Lavrs of Idaho, requiring the reading of ~~ ordinances or, three different days be dispensed with in the man Her prescribed by law, and that: proposed ordinance l?0 26% be read the first, second and third tunes, fully and distinctly at length at this ?neeting and placed upon its final pass- age .
