RE: GOLF BOARD DISCUSSION ON NEW MEMBER
TOPIC: (22,3,,,G0LF BOARD,GOLF COURSE)
Nyle Fullmer reported on the Golf Board meeting. They are working to
try to establish some policies and procedures to try to set some
guidelines for future golf boards. There are two vacancies on the
board. His recommendations is that we still have five members on the
board as well as the representatives from the city and county. They
will start operating much as the other committees like the Airport
Board where the representative from the city and the county are non
voting members. Right now it is written in the policy that those
representatives are voting members. They recommended four names for the
board. Clyde Nelson was their first choice, John Lewis was the second
choice and they recommended Denys Wheeler and Mindy Virgin. The mayor
stated that we need to draw up a description of the duties of the golf
board. Discussion on the number of members on the board and whether or
not to have the representative from the city, county voting members and
the authority of the board members. It was decided to table a decision
until the next meeting.
A motion was made by Nyle Fullmer and seconded by Farrell Young to pay
the bills. A11 Aye
Bruce reported on the Planning & Zoning Meeting.
RE: DISCUSSION ON POOL AND SLIDE
TOPIC: (22,4,,,RECREATION,POOL,PARK)
Marsha discussed that she thought we need to think about selling the
elide to Idaho Falls. Nyle felt we need to see if the the Perrys want
to run the pool with no subsidy or liability from the city pending
legal advisement from our attorney. Marsha also felt we need to be
prepared to tear the slide and pool down. She asked if there is Ice
Tea Money available who will write the grant? The mayor said we can
write it if we get the easements. Joe and Val are the ones that do the
most work with the figures.
A motion was made by Bruce Sutherland and seconded by Nyle Fullmer to
approve the bills. All Aye
