DATED i'H I S ....L.._~.~.._.r„r..'H DA z' OF' L~~ ~~~ :. ti , MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING October 15, 1986 State of Idaho) County of Madison( City of Rexburg) A meeting of the City Council for the City of Rexburg, Madison County, held October 15, 1986, at the City Hall. Present were the following: Mayor: John C. Porter Councilman: Glen Pond Bruce Casper Bruce Sutherland Nile Boyle Sander Larson May C. Porter /~ City Clerk, Rose Bagley Councilwoman: Darlene Blackburn Also Present: Rose Bagley, City Clerk Richard Horner, Treasurer Mary Smith, City Attorney A motion was made by Bruce Sutherland and seconded by Darlene Blackburn to approve the minutes. All Aye. RE: TRUCKLOAD SALE IN PARKING LOT The mayor told the council that Ken Benfield called, he would like to have a truck- load sale in the parking lot behind his store, it would take about 4 parking spots. He wants to get some of the other businesses to join in the sale. The council okayed i t. RE: 2ND EAST STREET PROJECT They have been making a study on 2nd East. They want to try to go to 48' on the first two blocks and on the last two blocks on the South end they want to go to 44'. The council said it should be the other way around. If we can't get it settled, we will have a meeting. RE: HANCOCK TEMPORARY TRAILER Mrs. Brent Hancock was at the meeting to request putting a temporary trailer at about 24 West 3rd North while their home is under construction. They have the base- ment about completed and will have the house completed in a year. A motion was made by Nile Boyle and seconded by Darlene Blackburn to give a variance for 1 year to put the temporary trailer on the property. All Aye. RE: DENIAL FOR PRIVATE GARBAGE HAULING We have a request from Steve Clark to haul his own garbage from his apartments on Sout~lst East. A motion was made by Glen Pond and seconded by Bruce Casper to deny the request to haul his own garbage. All Aye. The mayor told the council that October is P.T.A. month. A motion was made by Glen Pond to pay the bills and seconded by Bruce Sutherland. All Aye. Meeting Adjourned.
