Present were the following: RE: PROPOSED BUDGET - REVENUE SHARING Mayor: Councilman: Councilwoman John C. Porter Morgan Garner Norris Reese Nile Boyle Darlene Blackburn The proposed Revenue Sharing Budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1981 is: DEPARTMENT AMOUNT DESCRIPTION Office 4,500 for a roof and typewriter Police 10,385 for one patrol car and office equipment Streets 34,915 for street repairs Golf Course 15,000 work and maintenance Swimming Pool 5,000 repairs Recreation 1,100 equipment Merry -Go -Round 1,000 repairs Senior Citizens 10,000 bus, repairs, gas and oil Sanitation 15,000 payment on truck and compactor, and repairs Water & Sewer 1,000 equipment Total $97,900 RE: SENIOR CITIZENS DISCUSSION ON BUDGET A group of three people were present to represent the Senior Citizens. Lola Webster acted as spokesman. She told a lettle bit about the group and what they did. They are now ready to move in to their new headquarters at the old hospital. They need money for equipment, they would like to hire a trained professional person as an administrator, and the bus is getting worn out. The Mayor told her that some money had been put in the Revenue Sharing Budget for the Senior Citizens. RE: ACCEPTANCE OF BUDGET A motion was made by Morgan Garner and seconded by Darlene Blackburn to accept the Revenue Sharing Budget. All Aye. 1
