State of Idaho) County of Madison(SS City of Rexburg) A meeting of the City Council for the City of Rexburg, Idaho, Madison County, was held on Wednesday, the 19th of October, at the time of x:30 P:M. at the city hall. Councilman Nile Boyle moved the minutes be approved as corrected. Councilman Morgan Garner seconded. All Aye. Councilman Barton Jensen moved the appointment be made. Councilman Nile Boyle seconded. All Aye. She advised that when a_rplication is made it will ~e necessary to have a public hearing. ARE: EXT~;NTION OF ~r1ATrR LTN - SOUTH 0'F 7th SOUTH AND .FAST OF THp:, SOUTH HIGHWAY 191 Discussion on extention of a water line to the property South of '7th South and East of the South highway 191. Councilman Barton Jensen suggested that the city pay the additional to have a larger line put in from 5th West to the highway. This would permit further development in that area without tearing out the newilines and replacing them. The bid opening with two alternatives is set for Nov. 4. They can then get the line in before winter. ARE: LID 23 HEARING Hearing LID 23. John P•.illar, I•~ngineer mace suggestions on the street betteen the Randal and the hlillhollow Heights Subdivisions. Residents on lst North between 4th and 5th Jest want the ditch removed. and the street paved. They want to be added to the LID. They were advised. that they would h,.=:ve to h<xve 100 consent to get their street added, to include them in the district. Because of the lateness of the year, we will hold another hearing in the spring, they can then be added. IRE: `aiARD ADDITION John Millar, Engineer x~resented a temporty plat of the Ward Addition. The plat is for 180 acres on the South side of Rexburg, and owned by DeLoy ward. They will pay the cost of moving the lights if the city will give their consent. It will help on their parking and driveway. Councilman Nile Boyle moved they be allowed to move them at their expense. Councilwoman Darlene Blackburn seconded. All Aye. TRAFFIC FIr`~~,ARDS .4T 5th trwEST AICD 4th SC'UTH Discussion of traffic hazards at 5th '~~et and 4th South. Mayor Foster stated that he was going to find out who the large tree belonged to and have it cut down. It obstructs the view. It may also help to prohibit parking on the north side of Rays Big 0 Tire. The Intersection should be posted "Right Turn Only" but must be done by the State Highway Dept. .- RI;: BIDS FOR IMFOUPdD AUTCS OPENED Bids for impound autos were opened. The accepted bids were: Shannon Rydalch unit 19 for X160.00; Johnnie Cottle unit 15 for X75.00; Ralph Harriman unit 10 for $200.00; Duane Mortenson unit 16 for X15.00; Sheldon McKenna unit 12 for X62.00; Sheldon rtcKerna unit 12 for '62.00; Kerry Kelsey unit 11 for 26..01; Blaine Orme unit 17 for X150.00. The remainder of the units will go to Intermountain Supply. RE: BILLS PASSED RE: Council Morgan Garner moved the bills be approved for payment. Councilman Warren Porter seconded. All Aye. RESOLUTION TO BOnkCt PiON~Y FRCP? FDAA. Mayor Darter asked the council for a resolution saying we`can borrow money if necessarry to ~ carry on until more money is forthcoming from FDAA. Councilman Barton Jensen moved the resolution be passed. Councilman YFarren Porter seconded. City Attorney, Mary ~~mith read a letter from Marian Nelson asked for his property to be zoned limited commercial. There would have to be another rezoning hearing with 80% approval. The attorney will answer the letter. RE: r1EETING ADJOURNED Councilwoman Darlene Blackburn moved the meeting be adjourned. Councilman Norman Holman seconded.
