All council members agree. It was also agreed that one of the engineers should be at every other council meeting to report on projects. RE: Councilwoman Darlene Blackburn moved the bills be approved for payment. Councilman Morgan Garner seconded. All Aye RE: ADJOURNMENT Councilman Nile Boyle moved the meeting be adjourned. State of Idaho) County of Madison (S5 City of Rexburg) A meeting of the City Council for the City of Rexburg, Idaho, Madison County, was held on Wednesday, the 15th of June at the hour of 7:30 P. M. at the City Hall. Present were the following: Acting Mayor: Barton Jensen Councilman: Councilwoman: Also Present: Absent: RE: MINUTES APPROVED Norman Holman Morgan Garner Warren Porter Nile Boyle Darlene Blackburn City Attorney, Mary Smith City Clerk, Afton Anderson Mayor Porter Minutes of the May 18, 1977, meeting were read and discussed. Councilman Nile Boyle moved the minutes be approved as corrected. Councilwoman Darlene Blackburn seconded. All Aye RE: MINUTES APPROVED Minutes of the June 1, 1977 council meeting were read and discussed. Councilman Nile Boyle moved they be approved as corrected. Councilwoman Darlene Blackburn seconded. All Aye RE: RE: LETTER TO MArtan-'Nelson Mary read letter to Marian Nelson telling him he is in violation. FIREWORKS PERMITS Nile Monson & Other businessmen requested permission to sell fireworks before 26th of June. Permission granted. Nile moved permission be given, Darlene Blackburn seconded. 1 All Aye ss DISCUSSION ON STREETS Discussion on which streets to put chips and gravel on and which to put seal coat on. It was on last year contract. DISCUSSION ON TENNIS COURTS They are all through excavating and ready to backfill at tennis courts. SWIM POOL IS READY TO BE OPENED DISCUSSION ON BLUE CROSS PARKS LIGHTS DISCUSSED Complaining about park lights. They want new lights the present ones are not covered and the rain breaks the bulbs. GENE PALMER PRESENTS MILL HOLLOW MEADOW MOBILE PARK Gene Palmer presented Mill Hollow Meadow Mobile Park. There are 183 spots now in HUD court, there will be 112. Double wide 60' lots with off street parking for 2 cars at each lot. Lift station with pressure system. Some lots 80'. Park with playground equipment and covered picnic area. He went to planning board. He had 100 signatures of people with no protests. Traffic problems to be solved. He wants annexation. Morgan Garner moved that we proceed with hearing notice. Nile Boyle seconded all aye. The hearing will be set for July 6, 1977. BRIAN BURKE PRESENTED CREST HAVEN 5UB-DIVISION PLATT FOR KENT JOLLEY Crest Haven Sub-Division Platt presented. Additional water pressure will be needed, They need booster pumps. Mile Boyle moved we accept the platt as it is within 1 mile of the City limits. Norman seconded. All Aye. Wants annexed later. PROTEST ON BEER PARLOR Garret Case presented protests from neighbors on Beer Parlor that Dar Mickelsen watns to build. SCOUTS WANT TO CLOSE OFF STREET FOR SOAP BOX DERBY The Teton Peaks Council wants to have a 1/2 day soap box derby. They want to close off street up by College for 1/2 day. Morgan Garner moved that they check with the College. It is ok with Council. Permission be granted. Darlene Blackburn seconded. All Aye a~ DISCUSSION ON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY MOVING IN A R3 ZONE Commercial construction company moved in an R3 Zone on North 5th West. DISCUSSION ON ALLEYS Discussion on one way alleys. Post signs for service area only. Speed limit signs has helped. METER POSTS MUST BE CUT OFF Meter posts must be cut off and filled with cement. COUNCIL DOES NOT WANT TO RENT PARKING SPOTS Discussion on parking spots. Council doesn't want to have people rent parking spaces anymore. BILLS TO BE PAID Morgan moved to pay bills.
