Joh ter, Mayor Afton Anderson, City Clerk MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO State of Idaho) County of Madison(SS City of Rexburg) The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, Madison County, held the 19th day of March, 1975, at 7:30 P. M. at the City Hall, being the regular meeting place of said Council, at which meeting there were present and answering roll call, the following, who constitu.ked a quorum: Councilman: Barton Jensen, Presiding Nile Boyle Morgan Garner George Catmull Warren Porter Also Present: Assistant City Attorney, J. D. Hancock C1ty Clerk, Afton Anderson Absent: Mayor John C. Porter Councilman Glenn Peterson ZE; MINUSES APPROVED The minutes of the previous meeting were discussed and corrected. Councilman Morgan Garner moved that the minutes be approved as corrected. Councilman Nile Boyle seconded. All Aye ZE: ORDINANCE 560 Attorney J. D. Hancock read ordinance 560 in full. AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REXBURG, IDAHO, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1975, AND APPROPRIATING TO THE SEVERAL DEPARTMENTS, OFFICES AND FUNDS OF THE SAID CITY GOVERNMENT, FROM THE REVENUE DERIVED FROM TAXES LEVIED FOR SAID YEAR, AND ALL OTHER SOURCES, INCLUDING FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING, SUCH SUMS AS MAY BE NECESSARY OR DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE MAYRO AND CITY COUNCIL TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES AND LIABILITIES OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1975. In the absense of any protesters, the annual appropriation ordinance will be passed. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Nile Boyld and seconded by Councilman Morgan Garner that the rule requiring ordinances of a general and permanent nature to be read fully and distinctly on three different days be dispensed with and that said ordinance be numbered 560 and be passed and adopted as read. Thereupon the Clerk was ordered to call the roll on said motion and the roll call upon said motion was as follows: Those voting Aye:. Barton Jensen Nile Boyle Morgan Garner Warren Porter George Catmull Those Voting Naye: None Absent: Glenn Peterson The presiding councilman, Barton Jensen, thereupon declared that the motion, having been passed by not less than three-fourths of the Council, had been duly carried, and the Ordinance Nol 560 was duly passed and adopted. The City Clerk was directed to publish said Ordinance No. 560 in at least one issue of the Rexburg Standard or Journal, a Newspaper published int he City of Rexburg, Idaho. 2E: BID OPENING OF POLICE CARS Bid opening on the two new police cars. The following bid of Rexburg Motor Company at $4,056.00 if it meets specifications. Councilman Council-man George Catmull moved we accept that bid. Seconded by Councilman Morgan Garner. All Aye Erickson Pontiac bid on LeMans $4,468.35 per unit Stones Town & Country bid Pylmouth Fury 4,091.55 per unit Rexburg Motor Co. Bid Ford Torino 4,056.00 with a $700 dollar ~Ilowance on each trade in ZE: BILLS PAID Councilman Nile Boyle moved we pay bills presented for payment in the amount of $29,629.21.
