Council present Ruth Smith, Richard L. Davis, Albert Pieper, Glenn Peterson. Others present Flick Ripley form the Post Register, Rod Clifford from the Rexburg Standard Journal, City Attorney Mary Smith and City Clerk and Treasurer Beulah Johnson. Minutes of December 6th were read, corrected, moved by Smith, seconded by Davis that they be passed. All Aye. APPRECIATION EXPRESSED FOR POLICE OFFICERS TESTIFING AT TRIAL IN COLORADO Letter from District Attorney in Colorado expressing appreciation of our two police officers who testified in the recent trial of people vs Johnnie :Price. RE: BID ON CAT DOZER Bid on Cat dozer was opened with De Mar Bott bidding $451.00 Smith moved we accept. Peterson Seconded. All Aye RE: BEER LICENSES PASSED Beer Licenses passed Glen James IGA #I Moved by Peterson Seconded by Pieper. All Aye. Circle K. Store Moved by Davis seconded by Pieper. All Aye. Yellowstone Oil Moved by Smith, Seconded by Davis. All Aye. James or Graham IGA #2 Moved by Smith Seconded by Pieper. All Aye. RE: BILLS PASSED Bills in the amount of $35,204.69 were read. Moved by Peterson seconded by Davis that the same be paid. All Aye. RE: GARY BALL REPORTED THE COMPLETION OF AIRPORT & ASKS FOR FILL Gary Ball Airport Board Chairman reported the completion of the airport project and ask the City for any fill that they may have in the future for West end, North side, where they need to complete the project. Mayor Shirley complemented Ball on his excellent job for the Airport. RE : POFITER ARRIVES Warren Porter arrived at 8:30. RE: PETERSON REPORTES ON FIRE BUILDING Peterson stated that Bennion and Frost from the College would meet with the fire committee after the first of the year on the fire building. RE: BLOCK INC. ASK FOR AGREEMENT Ross Roesc; representing Block Inc. whom had purchased the Land south of the present City Hall asking for an agreement on South wall for a party wall and an esement transfer to Mr. Block on rear exit of building. Barton Jensen arrived at 9:15. Reese ask if he could plan on reaching a favorable agreement and easement transfer. Mayor Shirley stated yes. Ruth moved we adjourn at 9:36.
