Lee Gifford reported to the council that Asel Lyman had removed them shortly after. Motioned by Marton Jensen, that the City Clerk, Beulah Johnson, publish the quarterly financial rer~ort, not. to include the checks, as they felt there was no benefit derived frarn the public. PR>/SENT AND PRESIDING: Mayor Henry Shirley The following Council members were present; Albert Pieper, Glen Peterson, Ruth Smith, Barton Jensen, Richard L. Davis, Wendell Ritchie. Also present were Beulah Johnson, City Clerk t; Treasurer, City Attorney, Tiary Smith, Don Ellis of KRXK Radio and David Blye of Rexburg Standard £~ Journal GUESTS Guests were Grant Bowen, LaRue Howard, and Jon Ray. Council President, Barton Jensen, presented them with Certificates of appreciation in behalf of the Mayor and Council, for their services in reviving the Whoopee Days Celebration and making it a successful event this year. REQUEST FOR REZONING OF SOUTH HALF OF BLOCK 12 IN THE KLINGLER ADDITION Charles Rasmussen presented a petition requesting the change of the South Half of Block 12 in the Klingler addition from R-3 to Commercial, to allow construction and operation of a roller skating rink. Also present was I)on Rasmussen, Harold Stoddard, and Terrel Siepert. It was motioned by Barton Jensen, seconded by Glenn Peterson that the city proceed with the necessary papers LIGHT AT END OF PARK STREET Pat Price of 67.0 Park Street, met with the Council, asking for a light at the end of their street as it is so poorly lit.
