RE: HOUSEKEEPING CHANGES TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE
TOPIC: (500,161,,,ZONING ORDINANCE,HOUSEKEEPING,F'AIR HOUSING)
Discussion on Housekeeping changes to the Zoning Ordinance. Because of
the Fair Labor Housing Act the city clerk suggested that we change the
some of the wording in our definitions.
BOARDING HOUSE: The word adult needs to be taken cut, it sounds okay
without that word.
ELDERLY HOUSING: The vaords husband or wife needs to be changed to
Partner.
HOUSING FOR THE ELDERLY. The words husband or wife needs to be changed
to parties.
RE: MANUFACTURED HOUSING REGULATIONS
TOPIC: (500,161,,,MANUFACTURED HOMES,TRAILER COURTS)
There were questions about our regulations on Manufactured Housing
regulations. The board asked Stephen if he and John would go through
the ordinance and compare it with the regulations in the state Statute
to make sure our ordinance was ip compliance and make any changes that
are necessary.
RE: SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE MODIFICATIONS
TOPIC: (500,161, „ SUBDIVISION,STREETS,LIGHTING)
Sub Division Ordinance
Discussion by the board. John recommended that we go in and modify the
existing ordinance and bring it up to current standards. A lot of
regulations are defined in the State Statute. We need to coordinate it
with our other ordinances. If there are any changes the board is aware
• of we need to bring them to John or Stephen by the next meeting so they
can modify the existing ordinance.
Some of the things that need to be looked at are: •
Front footage on cul de sacs
Street lighting
P.U.D.
Private drives
Storm Water
RE. DISCUSSION ON S.T_GN ORDINANCE
TOPIC: (500,162,,,SIGN5)
Discussion on Sign Ordinance
The existing ordinance has been hard to enforce the way it is written.
In looking at the one Joe revised it looks too cumbersome. Stephen gave
a copy of a smaller ordinance from another city for the board to review
as well as the one Joe revised. John told the board to go through these
ordinances and think of how if they were putting up a sign they could
abuse this ordinance. This will be discussed at the next meeting.
John went through Planning & Zoning procedures.
Meeting adjourned.
