RE: COMPLAINT AND FIRE CODES
We have had a complaint from Darrell Henderson on Millhollow, lot 18.
He claims that Mike Day has built a fence on his property line across
the easement into part of lot 16. He claims that the fire hydrant is
in the easement between lot 13 and 15. He has a wood house and is
worried that this fence is blocking the fire hydrant from his property
in case of afire. The members felt that this was a matter for the
building inspector and fire inspector. It reads in the Fire Code that
"NO PERSON SHALL PLACE OR KEEP ANY POST, FENCE, VEHICLE, GROWTH, TRASH,
STORAGE OR OTHER MATERIAL OR THING NEAR ANY FIRE HYDRANTS FIRE
DEPARTMENT CONNECTION OR FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM CONTROL VALVE THAT
WOULD PREVENT SUCH EQUIPMENT OR HYDRANT FROM BEING IMMEDIATELY
DISCERNIBLE OR IN ANY OTHER MANNER DETER OR HIDER TIE FIRE DEPARTMENT
FROM GAINING IMMEDIATE ACCESS SAID EQUIPMENT OR HYDRANT. A MINIMUM
3-FOOT CLEAR SPACE SHALL BE MAINTAINED AROUND THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE
FIRE HYDRANTS EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE REQUIRED OR APPROVED BY THE CHIEF."
RE: ZONING
Jahn Millar said there was a man who contacted him and he wants to buy
a house on Cornell, it is an existing home and he wants to divide it
into apartments. It is zoned Rl. Basically he will have one apartment
with 18 kids in it. He has been before housing and they have approved
it. John said that he can meet the parking requirement with the
property behind the house and has access to the back of the property.
The group said that is a nice neighborhood and it would be disastrous.
John read what is allowed in an Rl. T-hey discussed that the property
behind the house is RZ. After discussing it a motion was made by Chuck
Frost and seconded by Chris Mix to require a plot plan, floor plan
drawn to scale, including parking. All Aye.
RE: NEW ZONING ORDINANCE
The next item on the agenda was the new zoning ordinance.
John Millar gave out copies of the zoning map to all the members.

RE: EXISTING ORDINANCE •
~Qo
~~• The recommendation was that we start with the definitions, go through
the definitions of the Existing Ordinance, Arlo Nelson's Ordinance, and
those of the ordinance drawn up about three years ago. Chris Mix said
she would put it on her computer. It was agreed that they would not
change the zoning map.
The next work meet will be November 8, at 7:30 P. M.
