August 3, 1986

There was not a quorum present so the minutes of the previous meeting was not
read and passed.
Steven Parker was at the meeting to request putting a double wide trailer on a
lot north of Kens Auto. He wanted to put it on a permanent foundation. The
property is 41' X 165' deep and is a commercial zone. The zoning ordinance
states that the lot needs to be 60' wide, however he would have 5' between
the trailer and the property line and_will turn_the trailer__lenghu~ise. The
property is zoned commercial. Glen Pond told them he felt it would improve
the lot. The members who were present recommended that he be allowed to put
the trailer on that lot if he will meet the set backs and have 5' between the
trailer and the property line.
A discussion fo.'.l~~wed about a problem of people having animals in the city
limits. They fe'~t that the ordinance should be enforced.
The city clerk told them she had heard Olympic Sports planned on moving in the
basement at the Rexburg Medical Center. Chuck Frost told the clerk to send them
a letter telling them it was not zoned for manufacturing or business only for a
professional office and they would not be allowed to have their business in that
building.
