MINUTES OF REXBURG CITY
PLANNING & ZONING COMMITTEE

Meeting called to order 28 February, 1979, at 7:30 p.m, by Jim Keller.
Business:
1: A discussion was held regarding 7th South Street.
2. ~:enneth Bird presented a plot plan for a 4-plex student housing unit. at
255 South lst East. It would be constructed at the rear of the old Queen
Bee apartment.
A motion was made by Dan Hess-and seconded by Alice Tout to allow the building
to be constructed to the .rear of the lot 7' from the rear property line.
Motion passed. Jim Morris to explain recommended variance to the City
Council.
3. A discussion was had regarding the Ricks College property located between
7th and. 9th South for annexation to Rexburg. A motion was made by Whitey
Brock to annex this property and. also the Crest Haven sub-division and the
~• five homes located to the south east (Planwaring, Slaugh and others). Seconded
by Alice Tout. Motion passed. This item to be referred to City Council for
final approval.
4. A discussion was held on forms for "Application for Approval of Preliminary
Sub-division Plat Plan-and Preliminary Building Plot Plan." These will be
submitted. to the City Council for their approval .
5. A study will be made to prepare forms for final sub-division plat and building
plot plans. This will be discussed at our next meeting.
6. A brochure for a "Guide to Planning and Zoning" will be prepared by Leonard
Longhurst, and Dan Hess.
