July 18, 1972
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Lenore Passey, Gale Weber (New Member),
Woodrow Miller, Blair Manwaring, Max
Brinton and Leonard Longhurst & Larry Perkins.
Max Brinton was asked to report in August, after meeting with
Mr. Gob el from the State Fire Rating Board, in regards to fire
ratings; etc.
A discussion was held on fire hazards in residences, student
housing and businesses.
Max Brinton to prepare a list of known problems and a check
list of what to look for in regards to fire safety.
Wood Miller reported on his meeting with Chamber of Commerce
in regards to a Master Street Plan. He asked for suggestions but
no decisions on the plan were reached.
Max Brinton was asked to secure a street map for eacl~~ Board
Member .
A discussion was held in regards to the property south of the
City Hall in regards to a City Park. A motion was made by Wood
Miller tLat the City Council seriously consider the purchase of
tine property for a Park. i°iotion seconded by Leonard Longhu~^st.
A vote of the Board was unamious.
Max Brinton gave a report on building in Rexburg.
Chairman Perkins presented literature on planning boards and
their duties and responsibilities and discussed what our goals should
be.
Meeting adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
