HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z MINUTES JANUARY 12, 1972MINUTES • REXBURG PLANNING BOARD January 12, 1972 Present: DeWayne Wilding, Blair Manwaring, Lenore Passey, Max Brinton, Larry Perkins, Glen Peterson, Leonard Longhurst and Wood Miller Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Agreements and By-laws of the Madison County Regional Planning Council were read by DeWayne Wilding and discussed by the Board. A motion to approve them was made by Blair Manwaring, seconded by Wood Miller and a vote of the Board was unanimous. A motion was made by Glen Peterson and seconded by Wood Miller to have one-way traffic in the two alleys north and south of Main Street in the business district. The traffic on the north alley (by the Post Office) will allow traffic to go West. The south alley will have traffic going to the East. A vote of the Board was unanimous. A plat of Rexburg Acres Subdivision located at 7th South, West of U.S. Highway 191, consisting of 5 lots, was examined. It was proposed that the Board recommend to the City Council to approve this plat. • A map of the proposed new highway through Rexburg was shown and discussed. Max Brinton discussed building construction and fire zones. Mr. Brinton was instructed to give a report at the next meeting. Fees for building permits were discussed. A motion was made by Leonard Longhurst and seconded by Larry Perkins to recommend the following schedule: Building Permit Fees $ 100.00 to $ 1,000.00 - $5.00 1,000.00 to 25,000.00 - 3.00 per thousand 25,000.00 to 50,000.00 - 2.00 " 50,000.00 to 100,000.00 - 1.50 T' Tr 100,000.00 up - 1.00 'x T1 A vote of the Board was unanimous.
