Present: OeWayne Wilding, Blair A'anwaring, ?~~ax Brinson, Lenore Passey, Leonard Longhurst, Larry Perkins, Wood 1~sller, Bernice Burkett ~sinutes of. the October 13 meeting were read and approved, t1et?ayne Wilding stated that the "ayor had asked that the 7 oning Board appoint one of their members to serve on the Regional Planning Board, Leonard Longhurst agreed to accept the appointment. A motion was made to this effect by Lenore Passey, seconded by Blair A~anwaring and a vote of the Board was unanimous, TMFr. Harmon appeared bef ore the Board at 8:00 g,m. to discuss Isis ~entucicy cried Chicice^. business on ?Fain Street, DeWavne Wilding will recommend to the City Council that they approve i~?r, Harron~s property, eliminate the incinerator and oil the dedicated part of Carlson Avenue west of Center Street in order to relieve traffic exiting from ~'_r, Harfnon's business onto i~:ain Street. r'r. Harmon agreed to oil his property basic to Carlson Avenue, A motion that this be done was made by Larry Perkins, seconded by Lenore Passey and a vote of the Board was unanimous, DeGr'ayne Wilding stated that Fire Chief Silas Clements desired to have attention called to the fact that fire fighting and ambulance service would be made very difficalt if the new highway were to go the canal route, It will also make a difference in the fire rating, ~1r, Clenze~~ts plans to write a letter to the Hinhway 13epartment explaining his objections. • T~eWayne Stated that the ~Fa~or has asked for the appointment of a Board. of Adjustments consisting of ~ people, Also that the Planning Board membership be set up a potation basis. This will be discussed at a latEr tiate, The following areas were zoned: From 3rd East to 2nd East including lots 1 thru 4 of block 6 and Lots 5 thru 9 of block 1, Sorensen Addition and south to City Limits to be zoned R-3m Blair h'anwaring made the rr~otion, t?ood T~`iller seconded and a vote of the Board was unanimous.. East from blocks 5 and 8 to the College property and from block 21 and 22 south to the City Limits to be zoned R-.3, Larry Perkins made the motion, seconded by Blair ~°anwaring and a vote of the Board was unanimous.
