HomeMy WebLinkAboutP&Z MINUTES MAY 4, 1970The Rexburg Planning Board met on May 4, 1870 at 8:00 p.m. Those in attendance were Wayne, Max, T~endell and Lenoree S Mr. Bob Richins representing the Remco Development Company of Ogden, Utah met with the board. He requested permission to start construction on two 12-unit structures in Block 7 of the Rigby Addition. These units will house 14~+ boys. There are 8C7 parking spaces available with only 52 required. There will be a manager who will living within or~E of the units. The area surrounding these housir,.g units will be b~~,ck-topped and landscaped. Complr~tion date~~is August 8th, 1870. In that this is in an R~ ~~ane and meets all zoning and building specifications, the Planning Board recommended that this development be accepted by the City Council. The Board also recommends that all unzoned areas_within the city limits of Rexburg be zoned immediately before they are used for some purpose not in accordance with the area within which they exist. If the area adjoins the city limits and will likely be used for residential or commercial use, the city should annex it and zone it ; au,~-~ ~. It was decided that the P~,~.nning Board will not hold special meetings in the future to accommodate impatient developers. ~ccarding to our ~c~de the board has thirty days to check over requests for building before making recommendation to the City Council. Then the City Council has an additional thirty days in which to makE their decision. Meeting adjourned at g:30 P.M.
