T~_r. "i`endelboe presented a plan far construction of student pausing
units for 642 students, located between Birch Avenue and First mouth.
SThe area is 396' by 330 ' -- 100' from=irch avenue (we st ~ . Plans
include parking: spaces for 217 cars. T~i,e Entrance tc t'~.is pouring
do,lelopment vrill be from First mouth. Mr. '~'endelbae ~ee~uested changing
the present zoning of this area to one permitting multiple housing.
The Planning Board decided to call. a public_,hearing for residents
of this area to determine their preference in zanin~.
Gordon smith and Glen Hunter requested the area z block east and vrast,
by 1 block north and south heated east of dock lg to be changed from
R2 to commercial zone. They vaished it to be designated limited commercial
to exclude service stations and places selling. beer.
The Planning Board decided to bald a public hearing on a~iarch 24
concerning this proposed zone change as the schaol board is opposed to
a commercial Lane next to the Schaal property.
If this i~., changed to 7_imited commercial, such s.~ecifications should
be entered in the zoning book and minutes to insure sa~?pliance in the
futureo
Both Yiearings will be held March 24 at the Utah Pav,~er & Light Company
Audit4nium -- one at 7:30 pm and t~~e other at 9:00 pm. Affected property
