H. W. Jacobsen follow~3d up on the wood pulp plant and IVIr,
.orris, the ranger, said that some company has been maki~.g
a survey of the availability of timber for this t~-pe planto
• President Clark laid that there is enough lodepole pine
in the Taragee National Forest to run a 25O Ton per day
pulp plant. He said that this sine plant, would furnish
employment for about 1350 men. They have determin®d that
there is enough wood if it is f~r~.ed properly to last
indefinetly for this size planto There seems to be a
shortage of water in Rexb*arg, for this size pulp plant.
The present lu.~ber mills do not take. care of the present
needs in th is area so Cher is a chance for a lumber mill
beside a pulp plant being built in this area.
E. Lo Powell presented an official map of the new addition
that he is promoting. Ha says he needs the signatures of
the City Planning Board, The City Council, and the County.
