Rio regular ~reetzng was held zn the month of June, because a quorum could not
be present.
The ~nlr~ut~s of the ?:iav meeting wore not read, because they were not available.
s~ia~'or Parkinson reminded the Planning Board that about one ;rear ago, the
City Council was ready t:~ call a bond election for a bond of ~~5,QQ0. This
was postponed, becausti df the school district band electian held at that time,
Re stated that the city was-now ready to prasont this proposition to the public
to be voted on. Gf the ~95,CCt~ proposed bond,
~6'?,{30t~ would be used for a frank line storm sewer and flood centrel work.
~l~?a i7~}~ would be used for a a,.ity garage and warehouse,
~? ~, COGS would be used for a new f axe; truck .
~iC,f~Ci? would be used for replacement and extention of water mains and
fire plugs,
Biscussion was held on some of the amounts and some of the work to be accomplished
with this bond.
Tile question of changing the elevations of some of the streets to better drain
them was brought up, ~.lso, the question as to how far the storm sewer would
run and what part of th.e city it would cover was asked of 4ayor Parkinsonb
biro Parkinson stated that the City Council had already agreed tca go ahead with
the bond election and asked that the Planning Board give their support in
educating the public, and getting the band passed. Same members of the Planning
Board stated that trey were not completely sold on the ideao Mayor Parkinson
s~xggested that these members come to th.e next Council Meeting on Wednesday,
July 1S, so they could be better informed of what was plannedo
Chairman Ralph Parker announced that this meeting was the time for the election
of new officers for the Planning Board for the next two urearso

mated Clyde Packero -4 Co Taylor moved that the nomination cease, These
nominations were all duly seconded and upon an oral vote, Clyde Paclzer was
elected by a majority to be the Chairman of the Planning Board,
a. H. ~fanwaring was nominated by Clyde Packer for Vice Chairman.
John L, Clarke was also nominated. by Clyde Packer for Vice Chairman. Upon an
oral vote, D. H. Lianwaring was elected dice Chairmana
i?. Bo Fitzpatrick was appointed Secretaryo
!Ralph Parker brought up the question of the skating pondo He suggested that
there was some discussion as to whether or not the city should keep this
property. after a discussion bn the feasibility of making a workable ice
pond, it was decided to reccomend to the city that they keep this property
for at ?east one more year and. try to-work out a pro~rasn for a skating pond
in the winter and a boating pond in the sunl^ser. It was also reecomended that
the City Council be urged to promote and encourage a golf course, such as
buying tine property needed for such a course.
Clyde Packer reported on his progress in arranging for the opening of the bldck •
behind Joe Evans Confectionary, Rio further action was taken on this issue.

It was decided that the meeting tide far the Planning Board would be on
the second ~iondaq of each mer_th and wauld be held at the Idaho Ban's of
Commerce at R:00 P.'>f.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:20, ~/~r
