Minutes of the Planning Board Meetin of llecember 11, 1950, were read
and approved. Minutes of the meeting of November 6 were changed to delete
the word unani.mouvly on a vets and motion for the plan of elimination of
ditches in the er~ginPerf s report on the city ditches. Tre c3~a^gc was .:.ode
because ~2alph Parker stated he di_d not want to go on record as being in
favor of this motion.
The ditch situation was again discussed. The pros and eeris
~_ were aired.
The report on Law ]1nforcement ire the City of Rexburg was presented to
the Board. by John L. Clarke and a copy is hereby made a part of these
mi:.~utes. John Clarke was complimented on this report. After a discussion
of the report a motion was made by D. G. Taylor that the chairmen arrange
a joint meeting of the City Council and the Planning Board and that the report
on the Law Enforcement problems be presented to the City Council. Also, it
was suggested that any other problems of this nature should be brought up
at that time and discussed with the Council before any part of this report
was made public. This motion was seconded by D. H. Manwaring and carried
unanimously.
Chairman Parker asked that the 2 junior members of the Planning Board
review the minutes of the Board and report on what the Planning Board had
accomplished in the last several years. The senior members were asked to
get a report on what they thought the Board ought to de or could do in the

future.
It was generally agreed that the first thing to be done is to develop
• an overall plan and then work toward a definite objective.
The ordinance of the City of Rexburg authorizing she Planning Board
was studied by the group.
Drainage of the runoff from the hill east and south of Rexburg was
discussed. No recorrunendations were made.
There beiaig no further business to come before the Board, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:00 p.m..
