Those present were: Chairman Ralph ?arker, D. H. Manwaring , D. Z. Dabell, D. G. Taylor, H. W. Jacobson, Richard Dav~.s representing the City Council, and H. B. Fitzpatrick, Secretary. Absent: Lowell R. Barrick. The minutes of the meeting held on October 3, 19~+g, were read and approved.. It was explained that the meeting scheduled for November 7, 19.9, was not held because a quorum was not present. Chairman Ralph Parker suggested that the•Planni.ng Board recommend to the City Council that the utility poles in the alley behind the stores on the south side of Main Street be moved over next to the•buildings so that the alley could be graded and properly maintained also to make the alley wide enough so that it can be used conveniently.. It was suggested that the city make every effort to acquire title to all: the alleys in Rexburg so that the necessary storm sewers and other improvements could be made without interference. A discussion was held on the traffic situation in various parts of the city, particularly on College Avenue, in front of the college, on Carlson Avenue, but there was nothing decided about whether or not these streets should be made one way streets. A motion was made by D. G. Taylor that the City Council be asked to enforce the ordinances on the parking of vehicles more than twenty four hours at a time on the city streets in Rexburg. This motion was seconded anal passed unanimously. A recominendatiou was made to the City Council that better enforcement of the existing ordinances pertaining to vicious dogs and pets in the city be made. It was. brought to the attention of the Board that an individual was interested in putting a radio station i.n Rexburg. It was generally agreed that the Board would gc on record as being in favor of encouraging this business or any other business coming to Rexburg. There being no further "ausiness to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m., .'B. zpatrick, Secretary •
