Opinions were presented by several of those present as to what they would recommend. • President John L. Clarke stated that he felt that these houses should be built but that if they could, they should be built by local contractors using local .help and local material. Mayor Parkinson stated that in his opinion it was the students that would occupy-these buildings but that the buyers of these houses would naturally vacate the lower rental type units and create the type of space needed by college students. In his apinion, we should let anyone come in and build the houses at any time they want. R. G. Herdti recommended that we encourage them to come and build a few houses .and see what they could do. f Ralph Parker mentioned that Mr, {Stone, the representative of his compax~y, would be in town the last of this week and anyone who desired could come and see him and discuss this with him.
