F~Iain Street. A Report wa.s ~.,ade by I~i.D. Rorrell and Peter J. Ricks "about what could be
done to get this property for the City and riake a city Park there.
I':~, Ricks told the histordr of this property and reported that any dealings. for this
would have to be done thru the Presitends of the 1st and ltth ~~ards. ~. Iv~orrell reported
that the latest development on this was that he had written to the Church Officials
in Salt Lake City and that they had givin a partial answer as to what would have to be
done to secure this property. It was decided that 1~~r. borrell was to go ahead and
:Hake the necessary contacts frith the tiro Stake Faesidents and make a report later.
Richard. L. Daiv$ reported that the City Council had completed negotiations with
George ti:~rildir~g and had secured the property fob the Sating Rink.
Discussion eras held on the problem of raising money for the City. The Question
of putting more Parking Meters i.n on up brain St. and on Cenetr Ste A Motion was made
by D.L.Dabell , 2nd by Dave~arn~raring, that the Street on the ~~uTest side of
Center street be restricted to True- parking On7,y and the other side of this
street dov:n to Carlson Aver Be posted to prohibit Truck Parking..
It was brought to the attention of the Board that several violations of the building coc
have been permitted by the commission. A Motion was made by by D.L.Dabell and 2nd by
H.r.Jacobsem that the City Council should be informed to enforce the City Building
Code as wri~atene this passed unarously.
• Discussion was held on garbage disposal. A Resolution was passed commending
the city council for their work on this program.. It was suggested to mr. Davis
that the city Place the Men on a salary and eomr.ission basis. a commission
to be givin for each new customer place on the GarbagE Collecticn List.
It was also sugested the somthing be done about the Cans being legit out for
several days in from of the houses.
