Minutes of a regular meeting of the Rexburg Planning Board held
on June 6, 19~-~ .
Those pre seat were B. Ii. i~tanwaring, B. G. Tayor, H. ~i. Jacobsen,
E~alph Parker, Richard B__,vis, and H. B. Fitzpatrick, Secretary.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
It was suggested by D. G. Taylor and Ralph Pariser that Richard Davis
report on what tine City Council was planning to do in the fut~..re in.
connection with the Planning Board. He stated that in the past there
had been a problem before the City Council that the Planning Board"~~~
not =consider the condition of the finances of the city. He
pointed out that this should always be '_~e~t in mind. It was pointed;;-~°-~~
out that the Manning Board is very conscious of the financial ~~'°~~ ,
of tine city and that the Board believes gnat one of the first
problems confronting the city and the Planning Board is to find a
new source of income.
It was suggested that an ordinance be passed to require owners of
vacant lots to keep the weeds cleaned off. If they did not comply
then a crew of men hired by the city sho1ald be sent out to clean the
lots and this expense should be charged to the property o-,aners with
their taxes.
A discussion was held on the problems facing the Board and how they
co~al.d better co-ordinate their efforts to wor:~ with the City Council.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:55 P•m•
