Lo~~;ll Barrick moved and Lee Bro~ming seconded a motion of reco~onendation to
the City Council that they- take steps to open up the alley running east ana west
between Center Street to College Avenue on lst. south block and to have this alley
and the alley run_nin.g north and south on the west of the Idamont Hotel dedicated.
to the City. Carried unanimously.
Considerable discussion was had regarding the Hospital,, its plans, etc.
Ralph Parker reported some progress on the land to be used in the future as
a skating pond.
u~oved by Ralph Parker, seconded by Dave Dabell that the recottunendation be
made to the City Council that the city street on 1st. east be opened up North to
the city limits and 3rd.. north be opened up between lst. east and 3rd. east and
the City Council take further steps to make a skating and boating recreation
center ar_d beautify the grounds north of 3rd. north, to the Teton River. Carried
unanimously.
The Planning Board recommends that the City Council cooperate with the school
• to see that the busses do not load and unload pupils on the highway west of the
Adams school but that busses pull around an 1st. north on the south of the school
for loading and unloading.
Street Committee is to report on opening up the street between lst. and 2nd.
west.
The cement street paving in many places in the city is broken, cracked, and
water iri some places is running under the pavement thereby deteriorating the streets
rapidly in such places due to wear, frost, etc; also many places are dangerous to
car tires, cars, and a liability to lifer It is thereby recommended that the
council prepare to tar the cracks and fill s.ri the ruts avith road material at the
very earliest time possible depending on weather conditions. Above moved ~y D. H.
