Minutes of Rexburg planning board held at the city hall on august
5th 1946 at 8 pm. The following were present: D.G. Taylor
Lee Browning, Lowell Barrick, Dave Dabell, D.H. Manwaring, Wayne
Smart, G. Alton Anderson of the planning board and the following committtee
men: Glen Herdti, Ralph Parker, Asael Lyman, Ronald Nordeen and S.J.
Skelton.
There was a general discussion to the organization within the Planning
Board. The responsibility rests with committee chairman to keep their
groups stirred into activity.
Dave Davell reported that grading for the hospital is almost complete.
THere is little hope of doing much until spring. Federal bill to assist
in construction of small hospitals if approved by the government, will
be followed through.
Asael Lyman, reporting for the recreation committed, reported that
nothing had been done due to lack of funds.
S.J. Skelton reported that deeds had been prepared for property
necessary to open the street through his block from all of the property
owners except two. THe board urged His committee to negotiate with these
two and push the completion of this street as fast as possible.
