I recently inspected the bank building that was moved to Shumway. I understand you concern that the walls are anchored but the floor diaphragm is recessed in the foundation and is not
anchored. I’ve specified to the contractor the following:
* Install (6) Simpson HD3B connectors. Install (1) near each corner and (1) at mid span of each long wall. These are to be installed with (2) 5/8” wedge anchors into concrete wall
and a 5/8” through-bolts through the top plates of the furred wall. This connects the furred wall top plate to the foundation.
* Install Simpson SDWC screws through the top plates of the furred wall into the bottom flange of the floor joists.
Once these are installed, we are satisfied with the structure as-built
