A resolution of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, adopting a new schedule for water and sewer capacity fees.
A resolution of the City of Rexburg, Idaho, adopting a new rate schedule for water, sewer, and sanitation.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to maintain the overall quality of life experienced by its constituents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to collect fees for capacity and new connections for water and sewer from new water and sewer users that reflects the current and appropriate share
of capacity costs;
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to collect from all water, sewer, and sanitation users an equitable user fee that reflects their appropriate share of operating costs, depreciation
and debt service;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and the Council of the City of Rexburg, effective July 2, 2026, the water and sewer capacity fees to be charged shall be as follows:

Transmissions & Distribution: $1.14
Combined Supply/Pumping/Storage/Transmission & Distribution Total $2.59 per GPD over minimum of 1,825 GPD
Minimum Fees:
Residential 1,825 GPD: $4,727 (1,825 x $2.59 per GPD)
Per Multi-Family Community Unit 216 GPD: $560 (216 x $2.59 per GPD)
Per Multi-Family Dormitory Bed 43 GPD: $112 (43 x $2.59 per GPD) (Ie. 6 beds per unit-6 x $112=$672)

Collection Rexburg Only: $4.47
Shared Collection Rexburg: $.94

Residential 198 GPD: $2,151 (198 x $10.86 per GPD)
Per Multi-Family Community Unit 108 GPD: $1,173 (108 x $10.86 per GPD)
Per Multi-Family Dormitory Bed 37 GPD: $402 (37 x $10.86 per GPD) (ie. 6 beds per unit-6 x $402=$2,412)
