Observations/Remarks:
Arrived on site at 12:20 PM and spoke with Travis, the dozer operator from HK Contractors. He reported that
approximately 350 feet of the northbound shoulder had been excavated to solid subgrade, fabric had been
spread, and the first lift of pit run had been installed and compacted. I performed four density tests with
satisfactory results. Travis then organized the installation of the second lift and asked me to return at 4:30 PM. I
completed my reports and left for the lab at 2:00 PM.
