NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
AND ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF REXBURG
Public Hearing: June 4, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning Commission at 35 N 1st E, Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho, to consider (26 00477) amending the
Comprehensive Plan Map from Commercial (C) to High Residential (HR) at approximately 509-539 S 5th W, in the City of Rexburg’s Boundaries, Madison County, Idaho.
Public Hearing: June 4, 2026, at 6:35 P.M. to be held before the Rexburg Planning and Zoning
Commission at 35 N 1st E, Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho (26 00476) to rezone approximately 509-539 S 5th W from High Density Residential 1 (HDR1) to High Density Residential 2 (HDR2)
zone in the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho.
Legal Description: 539 South 5th West
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 6, of the Klingler Addition to the City of Rexburg, as per the recorded plat thereof, and running: thence North 230 feet; thence East 150 feet;
thence South 230 feet; thence West 150 feet to the point of beginning. LESS AND EXCEPTING:
Commencing at a point that is 225.5 feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 6, of the Klingler Addition to the City of Rexburg, as per the recorded plat thereof and running: thence
North 4 1/2 feet; thence East 150 feet; thence South 41/2 feet; and thence West 150 feet to the point of beginning.
509 South 5th West Part of Lot 2, Block 6 of the Klingler Addition of the City of Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho, as
per the recorded plat thereof, described as follows: Commencing at the NW corner of said Lot 2 and running thence E. 210 feet; thence S. 104.5 feet; thence W. 210 feet; thence N. 104.5 feet
to the point of Beginning.
At such hearing the Planning and Zoning Commission will hear all persons and all objections and recommendations relative to such proposed permits. The City Clerk will also accept written
comments at City Hall or email to clerk@rexburg.org prior to 4:00 p.m. on June 3, 2026. This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Section 67-6508, 67-6509 and 67-6511 Idaho Code, and
all amendments thereof.
