City of Rexburg – Altura Business Innovation Center Project

MEETING
Mayor Merrill brought the hearing to order at 6:30 pm and introduced Taci Stoddard of Altura
Community Consulting. She was asked to provide information to the public on the status of the project
filed with the State of Idaho. Ms. Stoddard proceeded to explain the following:
The amount of funds granted by the ICDBG – $500,000 for architectural design work.
A general description of the project status -
• The following activities have been completed during the duration of the project:
Architectural design work was completed and construction of the business innovation center is
75% complete. Remaining interior and exterior construction will be completed by July 1, 2026.
No substantial changes have been made to the project scope and the project is on schedule and in
budget.
• Budget review – The total project budget of $6,500,000 consists of $500,000 from the Idaho
Department of Commerce CDBG program, approximately 1.2 million of a Rural Development
RISE grant, EDA grant of 3.9 million and Altura cash and land totaling $800,000. Project funds
are being used for design and construction of the building.
The estimated close out date – Substantial completion by July 1, 2026, with final completion by July
31, 2026. CDBG close-out documents to be completed by September 30, 2026.
The proposed beneficiaries – All residents of the City of Rexburg will benefit including the low and
moderate-income residents.
Questions and comments – No public comments were received.
