REPEAL ORDINANCE NO 1025
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 1025 COMMUNITY SAFETY
LIGHTING IMPLEMENTATION AND ASSESSMNETS; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Rexburg has established criteria for the approved method of
street light installation in Resolution No. 2022 - 07 City of Rexburg Engineering Standards;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Rexburg shall terminate the extension of Ordinance No. 1025
effective at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2026.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the City of Rexburg, in the
State of Idaho, as follows:
SECTION 1: AMENDMENT “CHAPTER 8.11 COMMUNITY SAFETY
LIGHTING” of the Rexburg Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows:

CHAPTER 8.11 COMMUNITY SAFETY LIGHTING
The criteria and specifications for community street lighting in the City of Rexburg is governed
by Engineering Standards set forth by resolution from the current edition of the Idaho
Standards for Public Works Construction and Supplemental Conditions adopted by the City of
Rexburg as well as any additions, amendments, or addenda established by the City Engineer as
minimum standards.
SECTION 2: REPEAL “8.11.010 Community Safety Lighting Established”
of the Rexburg Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:

SECTION 3: REPEAL “8.11.020 Criteria And Standards” of the Rexburg
Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:

SECTION 4: REPEAL “8.11.030 Costs” of the Rexburg Municipal Code is
hereby repealed as follows:

SECTION 5: REPEAL “8.11.040 Where Minimum Lighting Standards Not
Met” of the Rexburg Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:

SECTION 6: REPEAL “8.11.050 Service Charges Assessment” of the
Rexburg Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:

Municipal Code is hereby repealed as follows:

SECTION 8: EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from June 3, 2026 and after the required approval and publication according to law.
