Please describe the reason/purpose of the request
We are seeking approval to have the land zoned as HDR2. Other than one owner lived in home at this location, it
is all apartments. As it is within other one block from HDR2 zoned land, this is an ideal space to establish higher
density units and keep them in a better geographic location relative to all of the other properties on this block.
Additional Comments
We feel rezoning this land will serve multiple purposes. First, it will provide additional either student or family
housing that is in such high demand here in Rexburg. It will provide additional walk on customers to any and all
businesses found along 5th West. It will make the land more desirable to develop, which will help us as the seller
to be in a better position to be able to sell the land. Finally, it would provide a better property tax basis for the
city to receive more revenue if the land is efficiently utilized to its highest potential.
