City of Rexburg Public Gathering/Parade Permit
Public gathering permit application for events in a public street or venue that will have an impact
on the public.
Reference: Ordinance 759 & Ordinance 810 - An application for a permit shall be filed with the City Clerk at least
FORTY-FIVE days (45) and not more than one year before the parade or public assembly is proposed to commence. An
"Expedited Application Fee" of $25.00 will be added if received less than 21 days prior to the event

A ticketed scavenger hunt throughout Rexburg at various participating businesses
hosted by Atkinson Entertainments as part of their fundraising efforts on behalf of
the Thornshire Purchase Plan. (A program aimed at purchasing property for the
Thornshire Ren. Faire's permanent residence.) This gathering permit is primarily for
the starting point which will be out of doors and easily spotted by participants.

Any other gatherings in the same area at the same time are not to be disturbed.
With the issuance of the permit, the applicant is responsible for the crowd control. If any disturbances of any sort
occur; the City of Rexburg Police Department has the right to revoke this permit at any time.
Upon notification of permit approval, Payment for services due seven (7) calendar days prior to the
event, or the event may be canceled.
If damage or excessive cleanup is needed to restore city property back to its previous condition, you may be billed
restoration fees.

Please indicate your plan for crowd control at this event
Entire event is limited to a single table with register, and a line. Participants after
lining up, will purchase, or show proof of online purchase of tickets before lining up
outside the building. Staff will man the table, and usher participants in where to go.
Once the opening whistle sounds at exactly 10am all participants may disperse for
their first location. Although the event table is open the remainder of the day for
those that wish to join late.

Additional fees may be added if City Services are needed for an event. Additional costs will be calculated during
the City approval process.
