RESOLUTION N0.99.07
A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING A GENERAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON
NOVEMBER 2, 1999, DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES, DESIGNATING THE
REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS, AND ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO
GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REXBURG,
IDAHO, THAT:
SECTION 1. The general city election will be held in and for the City of Rexburg, on the 2"d
day of November. The Polls will be open from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. at which time there will
be elected a mayor and three council members to serve for a term of four years and one council
member to serve for a term of two years, or until the election and qualification of their
successors.
SECTION 2 The following are designated as the polling places for such election:
FOR THE SEVENTH PRECINCT:
Madison Library, 75 North Center
FOR THE EIGHTH PRECINCT:
Adams School, 110 North 2"d East
FOR THE NINTH PRECINCT:
National Guard Armory, 330 West 7t'' South
FOR THE TENTH PRECINCT:
Career Beauty College, 57 College Avenue
FOR THE ELEVENTH PRECINCT:
Lincoln School, 358 East 2"d South
FOR THE TWELFTH PRECINCT:
Stone's Town and Country, 615 South Yellowstone
SECTION 3. That Marilyn Rasmussen, County Clerk, is hereby designated as Registrar and
Rose Bagley, as Deputy Registrar, with the following as Election Judges:
Seventh Precinct: Pat Burton
Eighth Precinct: Linda Flamm
Ninth Precinct: Terry Cardon
Tenth Precinct: Joan Brunson
Eleventh Precinct: Arlene Miller
Twelfth Precinct: Dorena Ricks
SECTION 4. The Clerk, for and on behalf of the Mayor and Council, shall give public notice of
the time and place of holding such general city election by posting such notice in three public
places or publishing such notice in at least two issues of the Standard Journal, a newspaper
printed and published in the City of Rexburg, Idaho, the first publication of such notice to be
made not less than 45 days previous to the date of such city election and the last publication not
less than 15 days prior to the election the notice so published shall state the polling place in each
precinct and the hours during which the polls shall be open for the purpose of voting, said notice
to contain such information in accordance with the requirements of Section 50-436 of the Idaho
Code.
