My name is Kellen Birch I live at 4017 E 66 N. As someone who works in Rexburg and is familiar with the area, I believe
this adjustment is a sensible step that will create much-needed housing in this location.The proposed intermediate
residential designation (LDR3)would serve as a necessary and appropriate transition zone between the high-density
compact apartment buildings on the east side of South 5th West and the lower-density residential zone on the west side
of the street. Considering the proximity of the small park and the Elementary school to the north,this change makes clear
sense for the community's balanced growth.
I would encourage the committee to take into consideration the needs that location services.The proximity to Campus,
the Elementary School,and the park lean toward young adults,and families with small children.That demographic is in
need of the type of housing this change could provide.
