Subject: Opposition to rezoning of 204 S. 5th West
Rexburg City Council,
My name is Holden Higginbotham, and I live at 248 Rebecca Ave. in Rexburg. I am writing to voice my
opposition to the re-zoning of the property at 204 S. 5th West.
5th West has seen a drastic increase in the housing density in the past few years with the addition of
Campus Courtyard and Providence Square.We should not be adding more high-density housing to a
street that is too narrow and already carries a lot of pedestrian traffic, especially children (Kennedy
Elementary). I am also concerned about the extra traffic that will be going through my neighborhood
(Henderson Subdivision) and the light and noise pollution that comes from apartments.
I recognize the need for more affordable apartments and condos in Rexburg, but I think they should be
built further away from already-established neighborhoods. There is a ton of land just beyond city limits
on the south side.
Please vote against this re-zoning. Thankyou.
