Subject: Budget adjustment for Art purchases
Hello, Matt. To commemorate two significant anniversaries this year—America 250 and Flood 50–I am proposing that the city commission and purchase two pieces of public art, utilizing
the arts promulgation fund. For reference, below are visual samples, not the actual pieces.
Rebecca Klundt $6000
48”x48” wood assemblage painting honoring “America’s Family Community”
Placement will be in “service alcove” at city hall. An additional $500 is requested for installation and lighting.
Karl Hale $15,000
36”x60” (approx)
Kinetic art 3-D wood wall sculpture
Custom piece inspired by the Teton Dam and area water ways. Interactive art element to be installed in the new flood exhibit at City Hall.
