My spouse (Judy Wilkins) and I have lived here for 8 years. The changes that have been made in proximity to our residence has been done with reckless abandon. The developing of every inch of this city has been aggressive and not always in the best interest of residents. The proposal to rezone section parcels from LD2 to LD3 should NOT be approved. The amount of congestion (traffic, noise...ect) is above normal limits in this area anyway. The proximity to Kennedy Elementary School and the traffic that is created during school sessions is at capacity for this neighborhood right now. Speed limits are merely a suggestion to most drivers in this busy area; radar control is very seldom available. The increase of motor vehicles on Johnson Street, Park Street and the intersecting streets in the Henderson subdivision would be negatively impacted. The Park Street Park is heavily used and parking for this play area is inadequate, the addition of more vehicles to this area is beyond what is available.
